Loughrigg Fell and the surrounding fells of the Lake District…
The Lake District draws you in, brings people from all over the world and Loughrigg Fell is a hot spot for many. A simple and very accessible walk / hike in the central Lake District area. A few months back I conquered Helm Crag, again a very accessible and not difficult fell to scale. Both these Fells give you outstanding views for Landscape Photography!
Loughrigg did not disappoint!
We set off early but not early enough because… a wonderful full English breakfast made by my lovely family Natalie and Lee! They had gone on holiday for a week with my brother and I joined them for one day and to go up Loughrigg with my nephew Lee. So when I was told by Natalie she had a full English prepared for me, WELL, it would be rude not to. So sunrise was missed.
Snowcapped mountains seen from Ambleside was quite a shock, but also exciting to see! I couldn’t wait to get going and get the camera out. Which of course I did at every opportunity. Luckily my Nephew is cool and enjoying the slower hiking pace. It started with a blue, and I mean blue sky morning but as ever – for me, this does not matter a jot! I’m out and ready with the camera to look around and see the world through the lens.
Getting out and taking shots is the best thing in the world! As you all know if you’ve watched my videos, I really enjoy what I do and get very excited. WHY NOT? It’s a beautiful world we live in.
Again I waffle and I’m not even adding keywords, Landscape Photography, Thomas Heaton etc etc LOL’s. So without further a do, go ahead and watch the video… Oh and please don’t forget to subscribe, Why? Well I’ve lots of content to follow and basically it’s free and by supporting my content, it helps me to continue making more… Thank you.
I hope you enjoyed the video?
3 things I got from Loughrigg Fell.
1. Loughrigg Tarn has to be photographed.
2. This would be a great fell in winter conditions or if Grassmere has a temperature inversion!
3. Never ever worry about weather conditions, good bad or indifferent it will always give you unique shots. Shoot in all conditions.
Reet, ladies and gentlemen, I think I’ve chatted for long enough and well if you’re like me you’ll want to see my images. Two shots stood out for me on this shoot.
