Northumberland Part Three – The end of another adventure…
This was tough! A real slog of a vlog and photography trip! From the start the light was extremely strong and it was blowing a gale! This did not stop me one jot, why? Because there is nothing better than spending time outside with my camera in hand, or on a tripod. We start at Low Newton By the Sea with a view over St Marys Haven looking towards Dunstanburgh Castle! I feel I could do much better, a re visit is on the cards. Drama and a huge vista was so exciting to shoot! Sadly the wind got the better of me and I had to move on, but I still got a couple of shots. Here’s the first shot looking across St Marys Haven towards Dunstanburgh.

Low Newton By The Sea
Onwards from here to a place I’ve dreamt about visiting for a very very long time! The Holy Island of Lindisfarne. Conditions again where great for a holiday maker but not so for a Photographer. Harsh light and lots and lots of people. Even the odd, you DON’T wanna do it like that, do it like this! People coming up to me and telling me how I should take the shots. I just laugh and move on, it really doesn’t bother me that much, I tried to have a conversation with them but they couldn’t hear me for the sound of their own voices. So here’s my holiday makers shot from the serenity of 12th century Lindisfarne Priory.

Looking to Holy Island Castle
Time to head off to the foot of the castle and a shot by many but the first time for me. The wind was blowing and the light was so strong but nothing was going to stop me! Three shot focus stack and a few tweaks with Lightroom and I’m happy with what I got…

Holy Island Castle
The end of a fantastic holiday and photography adventure, fitting both into a week is tough (there’s that word again) but very much worth the extra effort and push.
