My passion for Photography has grown stronger with the addition of vlogging. Many ask me, do you think you get a lower quality of photography, does it stop you from focusing on the creative nature of photography. I’m happy to say, NO. If anything vlogging my photography shoots has given me focus, it has given me the ability to slow down and build a more complete story of my photography whilst building content to share with everyone. All encompassing, a totality of creativity wrapped up in video. It’s a great way to show case what I do and just how much I love photography.

I can’t watch this anymore, I cringe 🙂 but here is my first ever vlog, taken in Malham Yorkshire, visiting the lone tree in two feet of snow with the very talented friend Stephen Mcnally;
Now, if you’ve never made a vlog, I hope this video can give you inspiration to get out and start creating. This was filmed on an iPhone 8 plus and a £4 lav mic. Originally edited in iMovie. This seems such along time ago and I’m so glad I took the plunge.
My photography has improved and my approach to compositions has completely changed. I don’t expect to be a full video production artist, don’t get me wrong, it’s not easy and you will fail, as I did, but with this failure you improve and get better the more you do it and get out doing it. I like to produce at least 2 vlogs a month. I have 6 backed up that need images and video editing, so stay tuned for a busy end of year from me…

Here’s my last video at this moment in time, please don’t forget to support me by subscribing and joining me on this journey.

As I say below lots of new content on the way and my visit to Blea Tarn was a shoot of two halves. The first being myself on my own walking round and up to Side Pike. A spectacular day of photography. Then there is the second half with everyone at the meet-up, storm clouds and heavy rain, but as ever this didn’t put the group off and we all had a great day taking photographs around Blea Tarn. Keep your eyes peeled for this vlog.
